As our dataset grows, we are tightening the rules that keep published prices honest and useful.
Verification cadence
High-volatility prices, such as manufacturer list prices and savings-program terms, are now re-verified every 90 days. Lower-volatility prices, such as annual clinic membership fees, are re-verified every 180 days.
State-level entries
We now record state-level price index entries where a meaningful state-specific range exists. If the national range applies to a state, we note that explicitly rather than duplicating the national row.
Retiring stale sources
When a source passes its expiry window, the entry is marked unverified and removed from public views until it is refreshed or replaced.
